Refund Policy

Last updated: 3 August 2026

The short version: cancel or move a session with more than 48 hours' notice and you get your money back or a new date, no questions asked. Inside 48 hours I can't refund, but I'll always try to move you. If I have to cancel, you choose between a refund and a new time.

1. Who this applies to

This policy covers one-to-one beekeeping mentoring booked through www.goodgirlsbees.com with Good Girls, the trading name of Jessica Farnham, a sole trader based in Kent.

It sits alongside my Terms and Conditions and does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

2. Your 14-day right to cancel

Because you are buying online, you normally have 14 days from booking to cancel and receive a full refund, without giving a reason.

If your session falls inside those 14 days and you ask me to go ahead with it, you are agreeing that the service starts before the cancellation period ends. Once the session has taken place, that right no longer applies. If you cancel part-way through, I may charge a fair amount for what has already been delivered.

To cancel, email thehive@goodgirlsbees.com before your session.

3. Cancelling or moving a session

More than 48 hours before the start time

  • Full refund, or

  • Reschedule free of charge to any available slot.

Less than 48 hours before the start time

  • I am not able to refund the session. At that notice the slot is very unlikely to be filled, and the time has been set aside for you.

  • I will usually try to move you if I can. Please email me rather than assuming it's lost.

If you don't turn up

  • If you have not joined within 15 minutes of the start time and have not been in touch, the session counts as delivered and is not refundable.

If you're running late

  • We will use whatever is left of the hour. Another session may follow yours, so I usually cannot run over.

4. If I cancel

If I have to cancel or move your session, you can choose either a full refund or a new time that suits you. I will give you as much notice as I can.

If the video connection fails badly enough that we cannot carry on, we will reschedule the remaining time at no extra cost.

5. If you're not happy with a session

Mentoring is advice and shared experience, so once a session has happened it cannot be returned. I don't offer automatic refunds after the event.

That said, I would much rather hear about it than not. Email me at thehive@goodgirlsbees.com within 14 days of the session and tell me what went wrong. I look at these case by case, and if I have genuinely not delivered what I promised I will put it right, whether that means a refund, a partial refund, or a further session at no cost.

6. Online course

Course refunds will be set out at the point of purchase.

Where you get immediate access to digital content, you will be asked to agree that your 14-day cancellation right ends as soon as that access begins — so once you have opened the course, it is not refundable. If technical problems stop you accessing material you have paid for and I cannot fix them, I will refund you.

7. How refunds are paid

Refunds go back to the card or account you paid from. I cannot refund to a different payment method.

I will process refunds within 14 days of agreeing them. Your bank or card provider may take a few days more to show the money.

8. Gift bookings

If a session is bought as a gift, the refund goes to the person who paid for it, not the person receiving it.

9. How to ask for a refund

Email thehive@goodgirlsbees.com with the name on the booking and the date of the session. I will reply within five working days.

If you are unhappy with my decision, tell me and I will look at it again.
